This Privacy Policy applies to the Eduportal Web Application (accessible at https://www.platformeduportal.com/ and partner domains), the Eduportal Mobile Application, and the Eduportal CBT Standalone Client (collectively referred to as "the Service" or "Eduportal").

The Service is operated by Platform Innovations Limited ("we", "us", or "our") on behalf of participating primary, secondary, and tertiary educational institutions. Eduportal acts as a Data Processor providing school administration, Computer-Based Testing (CBT), report card generation, and learning management tools.

Educational Mission

Our privacy practices adhere strictly to local and international educational data governance standards, including the Nigeria Data Protection Regulation (NDPR), the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), and Google Play Store Developer Data Safety Policies.

2. Categories of Personal & Sensitive Data We Collect

To deliver personalized educational tools, compute student examination results, and secure CBT testing environments, Eduportal collects the following categories of data:

3. Mobile Device Permissions & Hardware Access

The Eduportal Mobile App requests runtime permissions strictly for operational functions:

Camera Permission (CAMERA): Used exclusively when a student updates their profile passport photo or during active CBT proctoring.
Storage Permission (READ/WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used to download offline CBT exam packages and save PDF report cards.
Network & Internet Permission (INTERNET): Used to sync exam scores with central school servers.

4. How We Use Collected Information

We process collected data exclusively for educational and operational functions:

Managing student registration, subject distribution, and grade computation.
Delivering offline and online CBT exams and calculating scores.
Sending automated notices regarding resumption dates, fees, and exam timetables.
Protecting accounts against fraud and auditing academic records.

5. Children's Privacy & Educational Guarantee

Eduportal DOES NOT display third-party advertisements. We NEVER sell, rent, or trade student personal data to ad networks or commercial marketers.

6. Data Sharing Boundaries

Data is shared strictly with the student's enrolled educational institution and authorized education ministries/examination boards as required by law.

7. Account & Data Deletion Rights

Google Play Console Data Safety Compliant Account Deletion Instructions:

School Admin Deactivation: Request account deactivation through your school's administrative office.

8. Security Standards

All data in transit is encrypted using TLS 1.2/1.3 protocol. Access is restricted using strict Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
